Reading and Writing

Reading and writing is one of the very few things you can do from childhood through to senior age. I can remember enjoying the Dandy comic that stirred the imagination and brought the characters to life. My namesake Dennis the Menace was always getting into trouble and I`ve had to live with that association all my life! Then I moved on to the Agatha Christie `whodunits' with Hercule Poirot leading the way and uncovering all sort of dastardly crimes. Then, during college I became entranced with the passion of Russian literature, in particular Dostoevsky and Tolstoy. The Idiot and War and Peace were my favourites. As for Tolstoy`s Natasha, I so wanted to marry her, but alas, Pierre got in first!
Since that period, I`ve read many of the classics, thrillers, biography`s, romance; you name it, I`ve tried it.
