It started with a day out with grandchildren to Weston - super - Mare.

The youngest, who was ten year old mentioned that he had asked the girl he was with to marry him as they walked along the pier.

Later he told us that she was the third girl he had proposed to.

Somehow, the story just stuck with me and encouraged the beginning of my novel Trials of Love.

You could say its all his fault!

By the way M was the first grandchild to marry aged twenty one.
